About Techbuskers

Our Story

We are the organisers of Zimbabwe Science Fair and Africa Science Buskers Festival. The Zimbabwe Science Fair is Zimbabwe's most prestigious science competition for young scientists and engineers in primary and high school who are working on ideas to solve society's grand challenges. The Africa Science Buskers Festival is Africa's premier science communication showcase for young scientists, inventors, engineers, artists and science communicators.

Our story started with 20 undergraduate students at the University of Zimbabwe in September 2013. Starting with 2 schools (one primary and one high school), the work has grown to impact over 500 000 children and teachers in Africa to date.
